Mr. George did some quality and fast service with unclogging the drain between the sink and washer.

Jonathan S.Google Review

This company is amazing! I had issues with my laundry sink (clogging). I called Drain Masters and within 30 minutes George showed up to my door. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable and quick! An issue that I had been dealing with for a couple of weeks, was resolved in less than 1 hour. Drain Masters has gained in me a new and satisfied client. Thank you George!

George is the best! He showed up EARLY:) He did a great job clearing our patio drains, taught me a few tricks even and fixed our bathroom sink clog. He was incredibly nice, efficient and even cleaned up. I highly recommend. Thanks!

One slow drain, or the whole house?

It matters which. A single slow sink or tub is usually a clog in that fixture’s own line. When several drains back up at once, or water rises in a lower tub or shower, the blockage is usually further down, in the main sewer line. Tell us which one you have when you call, so the right machine comes with us.

How we clear it

  • Tubs, showers and bathroom sinks: a Spartan 700 drain machine.
  • Kitchen and laundry lines: a Spartan 100. Kitchen lines tend to clog with grease; laundry lines with soap scum and lint from the washer.
  • Main sewer line: a Spartan 300, run through the clean-out. Some older San Diego County homes have no clean-out; we can locate the line with the camera through the vent or the toilet flange, and where roots are the problem, a clean-out can be added when that section is repaired.
  • Condos and high-rises without a clean-out: we empty the sink, pull the P-trap and run the line through the waste arm in the wall.
  • Grease, sludge and roots: hydro-jetting with high-pressure water, around 1,300 to 1,500 PSI for kitchen and laundry lines and up to 3,500 PSI for sewer lines.

We look before we guess

With any drain cleaning we include a free camera inspection (proper access required). The DrainVision sewer camera shows where the buildup is and whether the pipe itself is damaged. We explain what we found and give you upfront pricing before any repair.

Work from our crews

Old cast-iron sewer pipe coming out on one of our sewer line jobs, from our project gallery. When a line keeps clogging after it has been cleared, the camera tells us whether the pipe has failed. See sewer repair and drain and sewer video inspections.

Which drain, which machine

Drain What usually blocks it How we clear it
Tubs, showers and bathroom sinks A clog in that fixture’s own line Spartan 700 drain machine
Kitchen line Grease Spartan 100, or hydro-jetting at about 1,300 to 1,500 PSI
Laundry line Soap scum and lint from the washer Spartan 100, or hydro-jetting at about 1,300 to 1,500 PSI
Main sewer line Several drains backing up at once, roots Spartan 300 through the clean-out, or hydro-jetting up to 3,500 PSI
Condo or high-rise with no clean-out No clean-out to work through P-trap pulled, line run through the waste arm in the wall

Drain cleaning questions

What is drain snaking, and do you do it?

Yes. Snaking means running a drain machine cable through the blocked line. We use a Spartan 700 for tubs, showers and bathroom sinks, a Spartan 100 for kitchen and laundry lines, and a Spartan 300 through the clean-out for the main sewer line.

When is hydro-jetting better than snaking?

When the line is packed with grease, sludge or roots. Hydro-jetting clears it with high-pressure water, around 1,300 to 1,500 PSI for kitchen and laundry lines and up to 3,500 PSI for sewer lines.

Is a camera inspection included with drain cleaning?

Yes. With any drain cleaning we include a free camera inspection (proper access required). The DrainVision sewer camera shows where the buildup is and whether the pipe is damaged, and you get upfront pricing before any repair.

Several drains are backing up at once. What does that mean?

The blockage is usually further down, in the main sewer line, not in one fixture. Tell us which drains are slow when you call, so the right machine comes with us.

Can you clear a drain in a condo with no clean-out?

Yes. We empty the sink, pull the P-trap and run the line through the waste arm in the wall.
